Victorian Safe Behind Wallpaper

During our kitchen renovation, we stripped the ancient wallpaper and found this ornate safe embedded in the wall. The dial still turns, but we haven't cracked it yet!

That's a Worthington model from around 1890. Try rotating the dial three times left to 25, then right to 14, then left again to 30.

We found this space when renovating our 1920s home. It appears to have been a prohibition-era liquor storage! Found some old empty bottles and a journal inside.

Mysterious Floor Safe in Basement

That's a Mosler floor safe, very sturdy. You might need a professional to open it without damaging anything inside.
